Walk details: an easy walk of around 3 1/2 miles around the loch. Optional diversion up Harran Hill woods where an abundance of bluebells should be in flower (some steeper sections involved). Main focus will be on botany and birds (wildfowl on the loch plus resident and visiting songbirds in surrounding woodlands). Many spring flowers should be observable plus a variety of other botanical themes.

Note the start time of 11:00. The site will be busy with Parkrunners from about 9:00 to 10:30.

Ample parking available.

Check advice page for field trip guidelines. Consider carrying a stick/trekking pole to help negotiating some rough ground or when leaving a path.
