MOSSES AND OTHER SMALL LIVING THINGS AT SAUGHTON PARK
(This event has already taken place)

Moss on wall

IN DETAIL

An informal session at Saughton Park. There will be a short walk to see where bryophytes, mosses and liverworts, live and a chance to look at them under the microscope. Turn up for 1pm for the walk.

Come along to the Park at any time for a self-guided exploration to see what else you can find. You can record any nature that you are interested in and add them to the list for Saughton Park. Take a photo and make a note of where in the Park you found it.

The recording base will be set-up in the Conservatory from 1pm until 3.30pm. Come and meet us to find out how to record nature.

You will be able to see progress on the electricity generator in the river. The Royal Caledonian Society, The Caley, will be running Saughton Sunday, a monthly event, details on their website.

If you were at the Winter Ladybird Day you might notice any changes in the nature around the Park. There are definite signs of spring with leaves and flowers emerging, and birds singing.

There are good bus links from around the City. If you drive, park at the Ford's Road entrance, signpost Saughton Sports Complex
