NATURE DISCOVERY DAY AT ASTLEY AINSLIE
(This event has already taken place)

IN DETAIL

The Astley Ainslie Community Trust want to maintain the area as a community space after the NHS vacate the area. One way too evaluate the area's amenity value is to understand the nature existing on the site. Interested people are invited to take part in a Nature Discovery Day to record the existing wildlife.

An event like this is a good way to learn recording skills working as a small group or alone.

There will be children's activities. From 12.00 until 4pm there will be the WVS Café and toilets.

The day is for everyone interested in nature and the project. You can just drop-in, however, registering will give us a better idea of the kind of wildlife that we can monitor and record. Take personal equipment such as handlens, camera, binoculars etc.

It is advisable to bring a packed lunch and drink, although there are local shops and cafes within Morningside, a short walk away.
