Edinburgh's Biodiversity Action Plan has evolved over it's 20 years. We've learned the value of observing and recording our local biodiversity. Gradually, the supporting networks have formed and there is a desire in local communities to find out what is in 'their patch'. As Edinburgh Natural History Society our bond with The Wildlife Information Centre and other nature organisations has strengthened. The importance of understanding urban wildlife has been promoted by biological specialists with projects such as the Urban Flora Project. Buglife, RSPB and SOC have projects around our City. Individuals have explored their 'patches' and found a surprising wealth of nature in unlikely places. Let this year of Edinburgh LBAP20 be an opportunity to expand our activities.

Perhaps this will be LBAP21
