Walk directly up steep path to choice of paths and re-calibrate to NW, continue to clear area by zoo boundary. There are paths posts to indicate Johm Muir Way.
Bring coffee and something to eat, sound recorder(?), binoculars and something to sit on.
Stay as long as you like.
Traffic noise starts building up at about 0700
NOTE: a path is being made on the hill and it may be necessary to deviate from the planned route.
