Ex industrial coal and ironstone mining site, crossed with mineral railway lines. Within River Kelvin flood plain. Mixed habitat: wetland, heath, riverside. Mostly made-up paths.

Natural History focus will be on Birds, Botany and Invertebrates.

Dress for weather (waterproofs, suntan, insect repellent, appropriate footwear.

Bring lunch and a drink.
