PATES HILL WIND FARM

Small Toadflax

IN DETAIL

Joint outing with the Lothian Botany Group. Focus on botany but there may be a few birds, butterflies and other insects. A good site to see lots of moorland species without going up a hill. Also some interesting introduced species brought in by the disturbance of creating a wind farm. Walking on good paths and tracks, off path walking may be wet underfoot.

Bring lunch, drink, waterproofs, and wear stout footwear. Binoculars and hand lens will be useful if you have them.
