PORTMOAK MOSS

This walk takes us round Portmoak Moss, one of the few remaining raised bogs in Scotland and through the woods around it. It is owned by the Woodland Trust and managed by them and the local community.
There is so much of interest that it will be a slow pace most of the time. The planned walk is only about 1.5 miles.
After, there will be an opportunity to visit the well and go inside the wash house. Or have something at the Well Country Inn. Also there is a further option to enter Kilmagad Wood and climb up for views back over Portmoak and Loch Leven before returning downhill through mature trees to Scotlandwell.
