Committee-led walk will follow some muddy and undulating paths, with a steepish climb up the Sware Road before descending to the Tweed through South Park Wood. There were a tawny owl, nuthatches and a flock of bramblings in the wood.
Anyone wanting to potter around Peebles, but not look at mosses, can follow the Eddleston Water for about half a mile upstream from the middle of Peebles as well as exploring the paths by the Tweed.
Check advice page for field trip guidelines. Consider carrying a stick/trekking pole to help negotiating some rough ground or when leaving a path.

Kingsmeadow car park, Peebles EH45 9EN Car sharing Straiton Park and Ride. Ready to leave 9.45am. X62 bus to Eastgate stop in Peebles took around 1 hour and 15 minutes followed by a 10 minutes walk to Kingsmeadow. Is a half-hourly bus service Toilets at Kingsmeadow charge 30p (no change given)
