Starting from Valleyfield heading north west through young woodland, reclaimed coal bing, wetland and mature forest.

Good mix of trees. Some fungi beginning to show. Jays and geese were the sounds on the recce.

Mostly easy walking but boots might be best for the rough stones on forest roads and tree roots on informal paths.
