Join a Lothians Bryophyte Group meeting looking at the mosses around Torsonce Wood.
Or a circular walk through woods and hillside above Stow to see signs of spring. There are slopes, some road walking, possible wet/muddy paths and under 5 miles.
Storm damage is evident in many places and care is necessary as some paths are indistinct. Wear robust boots, watch where you are walking and consider using a walking stick.
Occasionally trains may be cancelled (this happened during the recce) be aware of this if you need to be home for a particular time. There are things to do in Stow to pass an hour.
A new cafe/coffee shop is expected to open in early April.
