IN DETAIL

Some large green spaces used as burial grounds exist in Edinburgh and elsewhere. Per Smiseth set up Cemetery Wildlife Watch in October 2021. Wildlife is recorded on iRecord Activity page and an associated Facebook group for further discussion. As the year passes more taxonomic groups will become apparent for those with particular interest to join in observing. Data collected will provide a snapshot for total distribution as well has monitoring change.

Although many cemeteries appear well maintained the ground may be uneven and stones unstable, please take care whilst walking around. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a day outside. Bring lunch.
