Stan da Prato will point out the winter birds of the Forth Estuary. There may be a good chance to notice birds up close as the tide rises.

Do bring binoculars and a telescope if you have them. You will have the opportunity to look through telescopes and learn how to find spots on the water, and observe bird behaviour.

You will be on footpaths, some with puddles, most of the time. Dress prepared for a cold and windy day on the coastal walkway.

Bring lunch and a drink.
