Alan Krumholds has been managing Roslin Glen Country Park for many years in his role as Ranger for Midlothian Council. His walk is approx. 2 miles with good underfoot conditions and the route will include the lower glen within Roslin Glen and the Gunpowder Mills. Alan will cover the industrial heritage of the area which reflects the plants that are found in the Glen. He will also include the wildflower area and the woodlands, looking at their history and associated species. Birds, butterflies and other insects should also be seen during the outing.
