BUTTERDEAN WOOD
(This event has already taken place)

Ficaria verna

IN DETAIL

Butterdean Wood is an attractive mixed woodland of conifers, ash, birch and other broadleaves. It supports a diverse range of species and we should see many late spring flowers, bees, butterflies, insects and fungi.

The walk will be less than 5 miles and we will be walking on good paths and tracks. Care will be needed as some of the paths may have tree roots and could be slippery if there has been recent rain.

Bring pack lunch, drink, waterproofs. Stout footwear recommended

East Coast Bus X6 (Haddington) from West Maitland Street ( Stop HD)at 09:50, Waterloo Place (Stop ZK) at 10:01. Both leaders will be on the bus.

Those taking cars should bring pound coins in case parking charges apply.
