An opportunity to explore the grounds of Merchiston Castle School and one of the best Arboretums in the Lothians.

The walk will be on level ground mainly on grass. We do not intend to visit the steep slopes towards the river.

Bring a snack and a drink.

Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the season.

Merchiston Castle School, EH13 0LA Meet at the Colinton Road entrance. There is no parking permissable within the school grouds. Note time: the group needs to report to Reception for 11.00. Please do not turn up if you have not registered.
