Carron Valley forest and reservoir. Mix of open and wet habitats, native trees and conifers. Good surface on most of the trail. 4.5km but we may go further. Reservoir used for fishing but may have interesting birds.

Anyone who wants a lift or car share meet at Cammo Road at 9:15. P&R sites will be busy with Highland Show traffic. Or check Facebook for other options.

Carron Valley is on the south side of the B818 between Denny and Fintry. The main car park is at the east end of Carron Valley Reservoir Parking charge £3 for all day.

Check advice page for field trip guidelines. Consider carrying a stick/trekking pole to help negotiating some rough ground or when leaving a path.
