HAREHOPE FOREST
(This event has already taken place)

bee on flowers

IN DETAIL

A walk following well-surfaced forestry tracks with some ascent. Some of the forest has been clear-felled, so we will have to walk further than originally planned (and climb a wooden fence) to reach undisturbed areas. This general interest excursion is likely to be around 6 miles and, in places, a bit hilly, so please come prepared. There may be the opportunity to visit a pond that is home to dragonflies.

We are likely to see clubmoss, insects and the birds of conifer woods.

Check advice page for field trip guidelines. Consider carrying a stick/trekking pole to help negotiating some rough ground or when leaving a path.
