HILL TO SEA - HABITATS, SPECIES AND PEOPLE
(This event has already taken place)
IN DETAIL
A joint Scottish Wildlife Trust and Edinburgh Natural History Event.
We hope to showcase; WHO - meet the people and find out why they study nature, WHERE - see some urban/city sites where we find nature, WHAT - see the kind of species we find, HOW - the equipment we use and WHEN - find out why the time of day/year affects what we see.
Come and visit one or all of the sites; they should all give a different idea about how habitats are conserved and why it is important to understand what we share our city with.
The weekend is the City Nature Challenge Greater Edinburgh Project - you can take part in this as you travel between and visit sites - record your findings on iNaturalist.
The day will start at Red Moss (07.00-10.00) and move on to SWT Johnston Terrace (14.00-16.00) and finally Wardie Bay (18.00-later) - YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER, TURN UP AND STAY AS LONG AS YOU LIKE
